Ganbare Japan!: Setsuden

Never mind that Tokyo swelters under a heat island effect from May til September, raising the “feels like” level from tropical nights to the infernal. This year, when we really needed to most, people in Tokyo and the rest of Japan shed their ties and donned “coolbiz” clothes, and kept the thermostats in the high 20s. Sure, we had to ride in unlit train-cars during the day, but as this NY Times editorial trumpets, we dodged the much-feared rolling blackouts as the country rebuilds its power grid post Tohoku Earthquake.
